Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The project aims to ignite behavioral change in groups of youth at a Dar es Salaam high school through creative expression. This initiative adopts the Pre-Texts protocol developed at Harvard University by UNITA advisor Professor Doris Sommer.

By engaging students in creative expression, the project seeks to foster positive behavioral changes and enhance their social skills and individual attitudes. The initiative includes the realization of a case study and a longitudinal study to measure its impact, providing scientific evidence of the program’s effectiveness.

This innovative approach not only empowers youth through creative participation but also contributes to the broader understanding of how arts-based education can drive social change and development.
